There and Back Again...

Our school took us to a two day village camp and damn, I've never loved Delhi more than I do now. Located in Faridabad, Hodal is basically a railway function, not the poorest of villages, not the richest either. We stayed at the YMCA hostel thers. And the darn place had the most horrible weather ever, it was freezing cold at night and scorching hot during the day. And our most beloved school made us walk for 10km for those two days. ARGHH!!! Bright side, we had a bonfire and I had an awsome time with my friends, just one person was missing..:( (and its that persons b'day today)

So it wasn't all together that bad, but who am I kidding. We visited three villages with an 'open mind' so delightfully put by our princy. We vsited three villages, the first one was to interact with the villagers(more like interact with the sun), the second was a meeting with a guy from the local panchayat, dreadfully false chap, a definate politician in the making. I wouldn't be suprised if he gets into national politics. The third village was to see a potter ...well...just making pottery... But at this point I was eyeing a shop with a 2L bottle of Mountain Dew not the potter. Thats another thing I learnt from this trip: Do not take cold drinks for granted. Then we visited a forest, but apparently my schools defination of 'forest' and mine are worlds apart. The lovely 'forest' in question turned out to be a couple of overgrown thornbushes in the middle of a desert. Honestly, Delhi has better forests!!! We treked through hundreds... yeah hundreds of monkeys, for 4km to end up at a dried up dump. I swear, with all of our tigers getting poached, I think we should make monkeys our national animal. The first village was interesting, the second was meeting India's next fraud politician, who definately needs TATA tea, and the third one was a quest for aerated drinks, the visit to the forest was rediscovering a dried up dump and India's future National animal. There ya go, I've summed it all up in one sentence.
But if i said I didn't have fun I'd be lying, I had a really great time with my friends, we had a bonfire and spent the night together in a huge auditorium and slept on horrible bedding, but it was still fun. Even the treking, I got to use those hand water pump thingys too. I've got my results in two days and all this exhaustion on foot(10km, take that!!!) I managed to forget it. Now the jitters are back, and I'm not satisfied with my writing either. It just sounded so fake when I read it just now. But I'm posting it anyway, I nearly finished this whole thing till I DELETED THREE-QUARTERS of it. And Ctrl+Z didn't work.*scowls* I'm tired now, so I guess I'll just post all the pictures from the camp tomorrow, it just takes too long to download stuff here. Downloading my sketches on my art blog is a nightmare. Sometimes its really frustrating. But these days I seriously find a lot of stuff frustrating, like the fact that I keep pressing the Insert button of my keyboard instead of the space tab. If my laptop weren't so ancient I'd seriously consider sueing Compaq. Now I've completely gone off-track.
